Reduce the risk of human suffering and economic loss by collaborating on preparedness and education programs before the next disaster strikes.
Partners for Loss Prevention (PLP) was organized to (1) Train community volunteers how to install safety materials to the contents of buildings to make buildings safer from everyday hazards, and natural and human-caused disasters; and
(2) Publish and distribute age-appropriate disaster preparedness safety education materials to vulnerable populations.
Our Vision:
Our vision is to make childcare centers safer and give childcare providers and families the needed educational tools to train young children how to protect themselves during a disaster. Long-term our goal is to implement similar safety programs to protect vulnerable senior citizens and the disabled in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
We Provide:
Safety education programs and conduct safety projects at facilities housing the most vulnerable populations, always promoting awareness and preparedness as the first line of defense against hazards, both natural and human-caused.
